GPAL is a proactive concept. It invites "patients", sick and healthy, to reach out hands to each other saying: Let us jointly take control of our own health!

In short this means a powerful organisation on rails to influence the quality of healthcare, world-wide! Drug prices will be forced down, overall health care cost levels, like vice. The fight for cost reduction by applied Patient Power, increased competition, co-operation and common sense, has started! 

With active counter moves, GPAL will fight excess profit enabled by lack of price competition, helped by the necessity of access to drugs and health care products. 

Advanced digital procurement procedures, digital contracting, and computerized replenishment procedures will further reduce healthcare costs. By eliminating manual interference, agents and "trade enablers", by opening for global demand driven BID/BUY driven procurement, a cost level reduction of 15% - 20% is within easy reach. GPAL has the technology and skills! 

A new Pharmaceutical player enters the arena!  

Pharmaceutical products and vaccines will be available and affordable worldwide from GPAL-Pharma™, a GPAL initiated, and patient owned, new player, planned to set a broad foot down between the current members of "Big Pharma".

GPAL-Pharma will challenge alleged patent protection of medicines beyond the internationally accepted framework of 10 years. In addition, attempts at new patenting of medicines without them being significantly different from previous patents will be stopped. The patent office that has issued false patents will be investigated and made responsible for the damaging effect and cost increase caused to patients in the local and the international community, because of patenting forgery.

In Norway, where I live, we receive first-class health care treatment, always. The healthcare professionals give us what we need and more to get well. Human warmth, care and competence do not seem to be in short supply, despite the shortage of health personnel. But the price tag, paid for with our tax bills, is astronomic! Also, in Norway patients are denied treatment due to drug, cost of treatment, prices unbelievable.   

Only in a few areas of the world patients can take excellent personal healthcare services for granted. It is natural to include an apparent rich country like the USA, on the list of health care capable countries, but no. The US health care cost levels keeps even young working Americans away for decent healthcare. Health care cost kill Americans every day! With also a major part of the USA citizens on the "insufficient healthcare list", we get a hint of the actual volume of people suffering because of profit hungry pharmaceutical industry management and shareholders fighting for high values on the stock exchanges.  

The situation emerging above, is in a nutshell, the reason for kicking off GPAL. 

Our efforts are directed towards ensuring healthcare staff have the time, resources, affordable drugs and the best tools to bring patients back on their feet as soon as possible.

Every person is a GPAL-patient, by definition!
